At the Public School Teachers’ Pension & Retirement Fund of Chicago (Chicago’s Teachers’ Pension Fund “CTPF”), we value data security. We are committed to protecting the information you provide.

 

Terms of Use Agreement

You must agree to all of the terms and conditions contained in this Terms of Use Agreement ("Agreement") to access and use myCTPF.

By using myCTPF you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms of use:

 

User Authorization

To create your account on myCTPF, you must create a username and password. Your username must be a personal email address for your exclusive use. Your password must meet CTPF security standards. You must enter your username and password each time you access the myCTPF as an authorized user.

You agree and understand that you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username and password which together allow you to access the services contained on myCTPF. CTPF will not know your password or any subsequent passwords created by you.

Your password is confidential and shall not be disclosed to others.  Your password is not transferable, and you agree that you will not allow others to use any aspect of your registration information. When using myCTPF you are responsible for all activity which occurs using your credentials.

You agree to notify CTPF immediately if you suspect that your credentials have been lost, stolen, or if a third party has gained unauthorized access to myCTPF. CTPF will not be responsible for any losses arising out of the unauthorized use of your Member ID, username, password, and/or account.

You agree to use myCTPF and its services only as provided in

(a) these Terms of Use,

(b) the rules, procedures, standards, requirements, and policies made applicable to the services from time to time by CTPF,

(c) any instructions, terms, or conditions appearing on a screen at myCTPF when you use the services, and

(d) any state and federal laws and regulations applicable to the services.

 

The right to use myCTPF is not transferable.

 

CONFIDENTIALITY AND SECURITY

It is your responsibility to ensure that your username and passwords are used only by you. FAILURE TO PROTECT YOUR USERNAME AND PASSWORDS MAY ALLOW AN UNAUTHORIZED PARTY TO (1) USE THE SERVICES, (2) CORRECT, CHANGE, OR VERIFY YOUR MEMBER ACCOUNT WITH THE SERVICES, (3) SEND INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS TO, OR RECEIVE INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS FROM, CTPF AND ITS AFFILIATES, OR (4) ACCESS YOUR ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS AND FINANCIAL DATA.

You acknowledge that following internal security procedures regarding username and passwords is very important to limit this risk, and you agree to follow such procedures at all times.

 

Confidentiality

You will never be contacted by a member (either an employee, trustee, or any representative) of CTPF requesting your myCTPF username or password.

Security Practices

We protect online information according to established security standards and practices, and we continually evaluate new technologies for safeguarding information.

As you browse myCTPF’s online non-secure areas, no personal information is revealed or recorded about you.

CTPF routinely gathers analytic data on usage, such as how many people visit, the sections visited etc.

 

Surveys and Forms

You may have the opportunity to provide information to us through online surveys and forms. We use this information to better understand member needs and to provide quality services.

We use information we obtain from you to help us continually improve the content, functionality, and overall usefulness of the myCTPF portal. If a form or survey collects identifying information, it will explicitly state so.

 

Security; Use Restrictions

CTPF employs certain security procedures and processes to protect the myCTPF portal. You may not use any device, software, routine or agent to interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper operation of this website, or with the security services, system resources, accounts, servers, or networks connected to or accessible through myCTPF. You may not intentionally take any action that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on CTPF's infrastructure. You may not create or use a false identity on myCTPF.

 

Updates to the Statement

The CTPF Privacy Statement may be updated in the future due to technological advances.

At all times, the provisions of the Illinois Pension Code govern the terms and conditions of the Public School Teachers’ Pension & Retirement Fund of Chicago commonly known as the Chicago Teachers’ Pension Fund (CTPF) and all benefits payable. In case of any conflict between the Pension Code and public information found or provided on this website or data submitted by an employer, the Pension Code will always apply.

 

CTPF has made every effort to present the public information contained on this site accurately, but additions, deletions, and changes may occur and updates may not always be timely. CTPF has no obligation to update this site, and any information presented may be out of date and may contain inaccuracies or errors. SEVERABILITY If any provision of this Agreement is found to be contrary to law or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, this Agreement as a whole shall not be deemed unlawful, void or unenforceable, only such provision shall be of no force or effect and shall be stricken from this Agreement; and the remainder of this Agreement shall continue in full force and effect.

 

Termination

CTPF reserves its right to suspend or terminate your access to and use of myCTPF at any time, for any reason, without notice to you. All licenses granted hereunder may also be terminated by us at any time. If you breach any of these Terms and Conditions, the rights granted hereunder shall automatically terminate.
